Privacy Policy

The short version

EMT-B Exam Prep works offline and saves study progress in the app's storage on your device. The app does not send your study activity or personal information to Straight Stream Labs or third parties. There is no account, sign-in, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Device backups, Google Play and Apple services, external links, and email you choose to send us are described separately below.

What the app stores on your device

The app saves information locally to provide practice, performance summaries, flashcard scheduling, and session recovery. This includes:

• Questions you have seen, answered, missed, bookmarked, or marked as a lucky guess
• Your answer totals and scores by exam domain, used for the Diagnostics screen
• Flashcard review ratings, progress, and review schedules
• Current practice and flashcard sessions, including answers and practice choices needed to resume a session

Straight Stream Labs cannot access this study information. It is stored within the app's private storage, protected by the operating system's app access controls. We do not operate a cloud database or account-based sync service for your study progress.

Device backups and transfers

Android backup is enabled for the app. Depending on your device, Android version, and backup settings, the operating system may include app data in a cloud backup or transfer it to another device. On iPhone and iPad, operating-system services such as iCloud Backup or computer backups may include app data, depending on your settings and the data the operating system backs up. A device backup or transfer is separate from an app-operated sync service. These services operate under Apple's, Google's, or your device provider's policies and settings. Straight Stream Labs does not receive or have access to those backups.

Keeping and deleting study progress

Saved progress remains in app storage until it is cleared or replaced. To clear all locally saved progress, use Android Settings, select EMT-B Exam Prep under Apps, and choose the option to clear its storage or app data. The exact labels vary by device. Uninstalling the app also removes its local app storage.

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > General > iPhone Storage or iPad Storage, select EMT-B Exam Prep, and choose Delete App to remove the app and its related local data. Offload App keeps documents and data and does not clear your study progress.

Clearing storage or uninstalling does not necessarily delete an existing device backup. A backup may restore app data when you reinstall or move to another device. Manage backups separately through your device or backup provider's settings. We cannot recover or delete those backups for you.

What we do not do

• The app does not collect or transmit names, email addresses, phone numbers, location, contacts, or device identifiers.
• The app does not include analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking services.
• We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
• Study features work fully offline and do not contact our servers or an external service.

Purchases

The app is offered as a one-time purchase through Google Play on Android or the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad, with no subscription or in-app purchases. The store you use processes payments and handles purchase records and refund requests under its policies. We do not receive your payment card or bank-account details. Apple or Google may make sales, transaction, diagnostic, or app performance reports available to us through their developer services and applicable user sharing settings; these are separate from the study progress stored by the app.

Apple, Google Play, and your device provider may independently process information when you purchase, download, update, or use the app. Their practices are governed by their own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy, and App Store & Privacy.

External links

If you choose to open an external reference or website link, it opens in your browser. The destination may receive information normally associated with a website visit, such as your IP address and browser information, under its own privacy policy. The app does not attach your saved study progress to these links.

Children

The app is an educational study tool for learners preparing for the EMT certification examination. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a support inquiry, contact us so we can address it and delete that information.

Permissions

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location. The Android app does not declare Android's Internet permission. Opening an external link uses your browser, and system backup services operate separately from the app.

Email you send us

If you email support@straightstreamlabs.com, we receive your email address, message, attachments, and information you choose to include, such as a question ID. We use this information to respond, investigate reported problems, and improve the app or its content. Your saved study progress is not automatically sent with a support inquiry.

Our email service providers process these communications to deliver and store them. We limit access to people and service providers who need it for support and administration, and may disclose information when required by law. We do not sell support correspondence or use it for advertising.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the inquiry, related follow-up, and applicable legal obligations, then delete it or remove identifying details. You can request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing support@straightstreamlabs.com. Any information we must retain to meet a legal obligation will be kept only for that purpose and for as long as required.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the app's features or information practices change and revise the dates above. Changes to information practices will be reflected here before they take effect.
